This tour will lead you through Tengeru’s community coffee plantations where vast farms are found and visit a home where you can learn all process about preparing coffee. At the end of the tour, you can sip a cup of delicious coffee that has been harvested by the Meru community on volcanic foothills of Mount Meru where vast farms are found. Traditional dancers. LAKE DULUTI TOUR (Take a Safari around Lake Duluti)

Lake Duluti is a small crater lake situated in eastern Arusha. It takes approximately 20 minutes from Arusha City and 3.2km from Tengeru Cultural tourism Centre. This tour will give you an up-close view of Tengeru’s vegetation that will be able to admire the abundant lake side fauna and flora.

MARKET TOUR (Sample Tengeru ‘s colorful market)

On a 1.7km walk to the Tengeru community market you’ll meet groups of women carrying their bananas and other goods to the market. The tour will take 3.4km for the duration of 2hrs round trip. This tour will give you a good idea of how our people live, what we eat and how we interact.

Learn the fine art of cooking with a local family and be introduced to a range of dishes that are the favorites of the local people. Traditional dances are lots of fun and the music is guaranteed to soothe your mind and body.

Chapati (Fried Flatbread) Chapatti originated in India but Tanzanians have created their own version. It is one of the most commonly consumed foods among locals as it can be eaten at any time of the day. This unleavened pan-grill bread goes well with tea and coffee, as well as soup, stew and vegetables.

Ndizi Kaanga (Fried Bananas or Plantains) Plantains grow in abundance in Tanzania, and Ndizi Kaanga, meaning fried plantain, is a very popular Tanzanian snack. It can be enjoyed sweet as a snack or even as a side dish with a meal.

NyamaChoma (Grilled Meat) NyamaChoma can be goat, chicken or even fish, that has been slow roasted to perfection and is served with lemon wedges and a chilli sauce called pilipili. This is a firm favorite with locals

GRAVEYARD OF THE FIRST MISSIONARIES AND POLISH CEMETERY (Walk through the present to learn about the past)

Take a hike within the village hills up to the graveyard of the first Germans missionaries to discover how and where Christianity started and established in the community, wander around the village to learn about Meru’s history and traditions and their life today. You will also learn about the history and visit the cemetery of Polish refugees who headed and stayed here in Meru community.

BIRD WATCHING TOUR(Learn and Experience authentic lives of birds)

Allow yourself to be fascinated by variety species of birds around the Duluti Forest. You will experience the natural feeding, nurturing, Spousing, and other associated birds’ lives. This tour will expose you with multiple communication
